Somatic Therapy vs. Yoga

What is the difference between a

1-on-1 Somatic (Yoga/Movement) Therapy session

and regular Yoga?

What You'll See

  • Loree is a 200 hr Yoga Teacher. However, her Yoga Therapy training comes from an Accredited school of Yoga Therapy under the umbrella of IAYT (The International Association of Yoga Therapy). This program is at minimum a 600 hr specialty in Yoga Therapy (most often 800-900 hrs).

  • Yoga classes are indeed sometimes therapeutic, but during a session you will be met with a professional in the field. Loree has also taken many hours of training and is a member of RITMA as a naturotherapist.

  • Because of being designated as a naturotherapist, sessions are often covered by Health Insurance plans under “Naturopath” – receipts are issued for reimbursement purposes.

*Please check with your individual plans to see what will be covered.
